Chelsea legend John Terry is parting with some of the most prized memorabilia from his glittering career, auctioning items to raise funds for the John Terry Foundation, which supports British charities.
Among the standout pieces:
- 👕 2012 Champions League kit — worn when Terry famously changed into full gear to lift the trophy after Chelsea’s penalty shootout win over Bayern Munich.
- 👕 2008 Champions League final kit — from the heartbreaking defeat to Manchester United, when Terry slipped and missed a decisive penalty. Reflecting on that moment, he admitted: “I still think about my miss to this day… I don’t think I’ll ever get over it.”
- 🏅 2004–05 Premier League winner’s medal — the crown jewel of the auction, valued at around £75,000, from the season Terry captained Chelsea to their first league title in 50 years.
The items are being sold through Goldin Auctions, with a spokesperson noting: “When considering the greatest defenders in the history of English football, Terry’s name can often be found at the forefront of the conversation.”
This sale offers fans and collectors a rare chance to own pieces of Chelsea history tied to one of the club’s most iconic captains.
