MINNEAPOLIS — The Seattle Mariners rolled past the Minnesota Twins 7‑1 on Tuesday night, fueled by Julio Rodríguez’s three doubles and Josh Naylor’s four RBIs.
Rodríguez was unstoppable, collecting three doubles, scoring twice, and driving in two runs. Naylor added a towering homer in the eighth inning to break open a tight game.
Seattle’s bullpen was flawless — four relievers retired the last 12 Twins hitters to seal the win. Eduard Bazardo (2‑1) earned the victory with a scoreless sixth, while Logan Gilbert returned from injury to allow just one run over five innings.
Minnesota’s Byron Buxton homered early, but the Twins stranded six runners in scoring position and fell to 2‑10 over their last 12 games. Starter Joe Ryan (2‑3) gave up two runs in six‑plus innings before the Mariners’ offense erupted late.
Seattle tied the game in the sixth when Rodríguez doubled and scored on Naylor’s single. Cole Young’s clutch RBI in the seventh gave the Mariners a 2‑1 lead, and Naylor’s three‑run blast in the eighth put it out of reach. Rodríguez capped the night with a two‑run double in the ninth.
Next up, George Kirby (4‑2, 2.97 ERA) faces Taj Bradley (3‑1, 2.91) in Wednesday’s series finale as Seattle looks to complete the sweep.
