At the County Ground, Hove, Jack Leaning’s unbeaten 72 gave Sussex hope of back-to-back wins in Division One of the County Championship.

- Leaning grew in confidence, posting his first fifty for Sussex and building a 50-run partnership with Tom Price.
Warwickshire had earlier posted 267 & 264, with Rob Yates (90) top-scoring. Sussex’s bowlers fought back, but a ninth-wicket stand of 64 between Booth and Jordan Thompson may yet prove decisive.
With Sussex chasing a tricky target, history is against them — they’ve only successfully chased bigger fourth-innings totals at Hove on four occasions.
